[No...] Posted July 17, 2018 Share Posted July 17, 2018 Does anybody know about the firewall blocking messages displayed for vwnt.exe and acis.exe after a fresh Calypso install or update? If I cancel those messages (because I'm too lazy to call an admin to unblock), will it do any harm to the usability of Calypso? Or are the processes just trying to 'phone home'? I'm asking because the messages are mentioned nowhere in the install docs. I was also recommended by a supporter to do this! [No...] Posted July 17, 2018 Author Share Posted July 17, 2018 I can't do that because all our PCs are administrated by the central IT department. Every new PC is installed with a standard image. Meddling with the firewall is absolutely forbidden. I never noticed any problems when I cancelled the warnings, but you never know.
