[Ru...]
I am using a Contura G2 with Vast XXT articulating head. The stylus system is a 2mm x 30mm ruby cylinder with 50mm extension. I had an issue getting this stylus system to calibrate 2 weeks ago and replaced everything, the adapter plate, extension, and stylus. After I replaced everything it's been calibrating fine. Now when I go to calibrate this probe I get an error message. I probe the top of the reference sphere with the head at A0/B0. It then takes it's initial touch points and scans. After that I get the error message. Normally after the initial points at A0/B0 it will rotate to 12 different positions to do a full qualification and it isn't starting that. Any ideas on what this error is? I'm running the sphere coverage at 90 for calibration on this to make sure it doesn't get past the center point of the radius at the end of the cylinder. I've made sure everything is tight, cleaned the contact points on the adapter plate and sensor and still get this message every time.
[To...]
I think 90 is a bit aggressive. Anything less than 180, i.e. 170, shouldn't touch the cylinder.
