Way to go Cad Model Comparison!?!?!?

I only use comparison to make planes & points highlight the new cad model when im switching them out.
Other than that i have no idea what it does.
I know what its supposed to do, that would be what the "Binocular tool" in PCD does, but in Calypso i get zero benefit from a barely functional tool.
(BTW the binocular tool in PCD will snap features to a new model surface, and update XYZ and Vector directions if needed. I've never seen comparison tool actually update a nominal, ever)

I have, but a long time ago. I think CAD comparison is kind of broken lately. But I also use it only to get back highlighting on new models, so it doesn't matter to me.

Been a few years myself since I've used it but, it used to work very well 80% of the time.
It goes something like this:
Clear old model, load new model, click on cad model comparison and then compare, it will ask if you want to set it to the base alignment and say yes. Now click compare and it will show you the differences and ask you if you want to change the nominal's. usually answer yes, but do them one at a time.
Model has to be the orientated the same way.

The features that give you a systems error message are not comparable - slots, curves, torus, free forms etc. Circles Cylinders planes points - the normal stuff should work just fine.
