Operator Prompts

Hey all, new to the forum and enjoying the massive amount of info on here! A little background info on me....I've been working in manufacturing for about 12yrs now, 9 of those years in a QA role. I've been working with a Zeiss Prismo 12/42/10 for about 3yrs and I love it!! Great machine with so many features.
I have a simple question here for everyone, I've been the only only person programming/operating our CMM and having others run my programs has not been a problem I've had to encounter. With our company growing we now have another CMM operator and I would like to make it easy on him lol. How do I add prompts into my programs to pause the program to allow him to adjust setup, fixturing, take measurements, etc.... Thanks for the help in advance!

Nick,

I think you'll make good use out of the Programmable Stop function. It's under Strategy. So you will attach it to a particular feature and in your strategy you'll (for example) see something like this:

Clearance Data
Polyline
Programmable Stop

It's the 2nd to last icon in the bottom row of the strategy icons.

Another method, especially if you want the operator to enter a value, is to use Result Element, which you can find under Size - More. You can select Result Input option, enter text you want operator see. You'll edit the label, nominal value and tolerance to suit your characteristic.
I've attached a couple examples
