[Me...]
I feel like this is a case of the "it should be so obvious/right under my nose, I'm just unable to find where it is" scenarios, because it is so simple, but this is my Zeiss suggestion if it does not exist, because I just cannot find how to do this (extracting a toolbar from the feature defining box), and it would greatly increase the speed of which I could define my part...toolbar.jpg
[La...]
This would be amazing. I just double checked View > Toolbar Editor and I don't see these listed anywhere. Man, that would truly expedite things and be a little more "in your face". I like it.
[Me...]
I know I have been coming back to it on and off for months, thinking I just wasn't "computer" enough to find it, glad to know I'm not (mostly) crazy.
[To...]
I've often mentioned the benefit of a floating toolbar in some of my classes. For now, you'll just need to learn the following mantra God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, And wisdom to know the difference. [To...]
What you CAN do is to add these icons to the toolbar. Any menu item that has an icon can be added to the tool bar. Go to View - Tool bar editor and add/remove/move icons to your hearts' desire. Also, the Toolbox under Extras is an option. I don't like the Toolbox because you can't edit or rearrange the icons once they're loaded. (unless there is a trick for that)
[Me...]
Ah I had your basic class a few years ago Tom, and I have figured out how to customize the construction/measurement options I need to the toolbar, but I was looking for the ability to add say the "extract features/create circle on a cylinder" etc.etc. to the same toolbar, as it would be a lot faster to access/switch between those things from the toolbar (not too concerned whether it is floating or not, just feels cumbersome stuffed in the corner, sometimes my windows taskbar gets in the way also).
