[Da...]
I'm running a Calypso program. It measures the first feature and then it throws up a vague dialog box that says "Wrong Changer Position, Yes/No" It should not be looking to change the probe as the 2nd feature uses the same stylus system as the first. Has anyone seen this message? What does it mean and how do I resolve it?
[La...]
I've never seen this. Did you write the program? It sounds like it could be a PCM dialogue box. Are there any pre or post settings for the characteristic or feature in question? Right click > Parameter > is there anything in these boxes? [Da...]
Hi Laura, I did write the program and we don't have PCM. I did the RMB, Parameter check just to make sure I wasn't forgetting. The first two features are alignment planes, so it is nothing fancy. I'm stumped so I thought I would ask here while I wait for Zeiss to call me back. Thanks. [Lo...]
Check your strategies in both features. You could have a strategy using a different stylus. Even though the feature uses a known stylus, I have seen where someone enters a different for (1) of the strategies.
[Da...]
So with help from Zeiss, I got to the bottom of this problem. It turns out that the rack location of one position had gotten corrupted. What still puzzles me is the machine was able to pick the probe up from that position, but it got confused on the store operation. Calypso was asking for a stylus change because I had Current Alignment selected. I was anticipating that it was going to use the Current Start Alignment, not Base Alignment. The first feature it inspected was the first feature in the Base Alignment, so I assumed it was doing the Base Alignment, all with the same stylus. Thanks for the help...
