[Me...]
I've had decent to OK results when copying and pasting programs for whatever reasons but occasionally, Calypso freaks out and freezes up...My method is to open the desired program to be copied, change the base alignment name, save the program to the revised version and then when running, choose the new base alignment in the run screen. Does anyone else have an alternative method that doesn't cause Calypso to freak out?
[Ja...]
If you have save measured points on and you have a lot of them saved it will take a long time to save because it is saving a copy of them all. I usually empty the idmeasuredpoints folder before saving the new program.
[Ro...]
I would conclude that the problem is not with Calypso, but with your PC. and just because your PC came from Zeiss doesn't mean it has enough memory. I just had both my Zeiss provided PC's boosted with memory, and both work much better. I think my 4 year old Contura CMM computer had a whopping 8g ram installed, it now has 24. [Ja...]
Robert, that explains my response anyway, and might be the answer to a few of my other issues. My Contura has a 6 GB RAM and my Duramax has 4.
