[No...]
I tried to put PCM parameters in the presettings of a loop around the whole measurement plan, but they are not executing. This happens in Calypso 2016 (6.2.1603) and 2017 (6.4.0804). Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a SP/patch known to correct this?
[Ro...]
Ive never personally put PCM into a loop, what commands are you trying to run?
[Er...]
This is how it should function, it's the pre-settings. As in before the loop takes place. If you wish to repeat a block of code you should put it inside of your loop. Not before it starts. Just my two cents....
[Ra...]
Have you had success yet? I have done something similar, but I can't be sure I was doing the exact thing you are trying to do... so I have nothing to add :/ Just curious!
[No...]
Please sign in to view this quote. I didn't say I want to loop the PCM commands 😉 I want to set a variable that sets the loop counter. I know I can do that at other locations too, but this was a special case (part of a problem-solving attempt which is not so important anymore). Anyways, the commands in there NEVER execute for me, not in manual mode, not in CNC. I opened a support ticket at Zeiss for this.
[Er...]
Oh, I missunderstood you then. Thats wierd, works fine for me. How ever, some times when I have "jumped" in pcm to fetch a subroutine further down in the code, something happens and its no longer possible to assign variables. A reboot of Calypso solves that. Annoying, but I guess thats why they dont ever mention that faulty function. Thats all I can think of, causing your issue.

Just tested it again to be sure: I put a dummy result element in a fresh plan, then set a variable to 20 in the presettings together with an obligatory "Hello World" message. Set up a formula with the variable for the loop counter and ran the thing. Result: Calypso sets counter to 9999 because variable wasn't set, no "Hello World" on the screen...and almost impossible to stop with the traffic light button.
