[Ra...]
What is the variable that controls the "red/green" outline color of the "Overall Result" box on custom reports? I know this is odd, but I'm trying to do something completely unnecessary and settle a minor grudge with a set-up person.
[Er...]
Well, doubt this will help you. But the instance variable is surprisingly "red" and "green" if I remember it correctly. It works by changing the setting for what ever the name is for what ever its called. If my memory doesn't fail me. But I do remember that the "old" protocol part of Calypso is really complex, and slightly impressive from a programming perspective. Changing color of the over all result will be a bit more job then just ".red", but you probably know that.
[Ra...]
Thank you very much, Eric. You rock.
[Ra...]
Well... you still rock, but the instance variable didn't get me as far as I hoped in digging through Calypso. I was hoping to find the method that toggles between red/green. The search continues....
[Er...]
Yes, as I said. You have to use at: #colorName put: #green or something similar to change the setting. The method (unless I mix things up, I have not worked with Calypso for a while and is shooting in the blue here) calculates actual, againt max value, and determs if its in or out of tolerance. As I said before, its complicated. Like a poem written in mandarin 🙂 And I can't look it up either, surfing on my Phone...
[Ra...]
The method seems to be related to "Overall_Result" and possibly "ColorValue." (Ignore my syntax for now...) Not sure about the latter. I know where to dig now, but my shovel is coming up empty. If you stumble across anything that helps me, I thank you in advance. If I get lucky, I'll post my "project." [Er...]
I took a quick glance at it this morning, ColorValue is indeed containing the functions of red and green. But as I said, you need to make it happen thru settings. I don't think there is an object that you can execute to achieve what you wish for. So my suggestion is to forget about it because you seem to dig in the wrong yard anyway 🙂 It would be a lot easier to make your own summary in a text element...
