So i found if you use the scroll wheel and zoom in to what i think is basically the limit then zoom back out and look at the cad model it looks all messed up. I'm assuming this is not supposed to happen?

I am not seeing this when i try it. It sounds like a graphics card issue. does this issue stick when you open or close it?

Have you tried to go into CAD-settings-image quality, and hit apply? I usually have to do that if I zoom in on a small feature.

I can also get this to fritz out. I just zoomed all the way in, and sometimes the CAD model graphic get visually corrupted. I can get it to snap out of it by toggling the "Show CAD Model" buttons.

It's not a huge problem, and as best I can tell, it's only cause by something I have no real reason to do.

Our PC that came with the Contura only had 6gig of ram from the factory.
I was having some general problems and our it guy bumped it up to 18gig, and now it runs much better.
I wasn't having the same problem you are, but i wouldn't assume that just because that computer came with the CMM that its ideal.
Especially after several years of use.

Does this happen to all your cads? Or all the cads from one company? Is the monitor new? Some older monitors had trouble with refresh. But I' thinking your video card may need latest drivers. Ram in your computer is not relevant to video unless it's an onboard chip. Though more is always better.
Have you healed your models? I've got models from one company that I cannot heal. They disappear.

I have had simillar problem. I have asked Zeiss support and they have sent me a service pack, but to be honest I have also noticed that the problem was with this practicular cad model. The other ones were ok but service pack was helpfull anyway.
