Missing File name

This is new...we opened an older program and noticed that it didn't display the file name. It also doesn't show on our printouts. We had 3 programs open but I've had over 6 open before with no problems . We closed and reopened and still no file name. Shut down and restarted the program, no luck. Had to do a "save as" as a different name and everything's back to normal. If we open the old version it still has no file name. we deleted the old file and the new file is just fine. I thought this was a one time thing but, it happened again on a different program !!!

Any similar experiences out there ?

That's a new one. When you did a "save as" and renamed the file, how different was the different file name?

I just left off the rev #..

Go into the Folder of the offending file name and look for a text file named: username
Open it and see if it is blank. (Not sure how it would end up blank)

Unfortunately the offending files have been deleted. I had to save as a different file name and delete the bad file...interestingly the original "bad' file was still listed with the correct file name , and could be opened , closed and saved. But once open had no file name listed and would not have a file name in any printouts. It would also have a blank spot in the "window" pull down. Really strange.

So far today there have been no problems. 😉
