[Jo...]
We just purchased a new Zeiss Contura for our new plant. We currently have an Accura II that we have been using for about 5 years. Instead of creating all of the probes from scratch is there a way to pull the probe directory from our current machine and put it on the new machine? If so where would I find the directory? Thank you in advance with any help provided.
[Ow...]
I know it can be done and I'd guess you'd just make a copy of the config folder from the older CMM and put it in the new CMM Calypso folder but, don't delete the original config folder, just put it someplace for safe keeping. HOWEVER, STOP!!!! You have a new CMM so, I'd call 1-800-327-9735 and have them walk you through it because there have been a lot of changes over the years to licenses and other configurations and if something screws up you can blame them (you're welcome Zeiss Tech support:-). [Jo...]
Thanks for the reply, I was thinking of giving them a call and seeing what they said as well. You do bring up a good point, I don't want to do anything that would void anything on a brand new machine. I think it is off to the land of Tech Support for my late morning adventures. [Ch...]
You can export the each individual probes as a probe file then upload it to another CMM. In your probe settings section there is an export/import button. you still have to go one by one but you don't have to start from scratch with each one.
