Repositioning during CNC run

We have callout to measure wall thickness of part. Location of probing point is not reachable with any stylus configuration either with Vast or RDS Head. We need to flip part upside down(180 Deg) in any case. Can we make another base alignment with manual probing to determine start point for flipped position?

I have done things like this. If I understand correctly, you can see the datums from set-up 1, but not set-up 2? In that case, what I would do: measure everything you can on set-up 1, now construct a 'leapfrog" alignment using a few features that can be accessed from both sides. Before flipping, recall the datum features, with respect to the "leapfrog" alignment. So now, you have coordinates of datums in "leapfrog" coordinate system.

Flip part, measure, align "leapfrog" features, create datums (as "theoretical features", using formulas "getActual..." from prior step), and make your flipped ABC alignment using those new theoretical datums.

Naturally, assure your hits are at exactly same places, and, naturally, some things will have to be flipped, mathematically.

Now flip part (add prompts etc) measure the new alignment features, make alignment the

Alternatively, since we're only talking about wall thickness, there's a characteristic called "Result Element". This is where you can use operator input (like "measure with thickness gauge, enter value here"). Just remember to put all that at very end of program.

Good Mornig Kai !!
THanks for shearing your best assumption based on you experience.
I used same sequence of measurement what you mentioned above without missing a single line as I was struggling to get it done.
Any other idea will be still welcome.
