New ZEISS Metrology Community coming soon

Recommended Posts

Dear ZEISS Metrology Community User,

We are happy to announce the release of a new ZEISS Metrology Community in the near future.
Please read through the following steps we will take in order to make the transition phase as smooth as possible for you.
This is also the roadmap for the migration in general.

March 28th: We will communicate the link to the new Community here. As registered Metrology Community User you are granted exclusive access to the Beta-Test-Version of the new environment.
We are looking forward to your first test posts and feedback. Please be aware: all posts before official Go live (see below) may be deleted. However, we work on this issue, to avoid the deletion.

For an active usage of the Community you need a ZEISS ID registration; if you are already registered for the ZEISS Metrology Portal, you have your personally valid login data; if not you need to register once to access in the future all ZEISS customer features, e.g. the Community and the Portal.

April 24th: The new Metrology Commmunity goes live, all functionalities are available and you find previous, old topics & threads in the archive

June 20th: The old Metrology Community will be officially closed and you can find us only on the new Community

Until September 2018: all other existing functions of the current Metrology Portal will be moved to the new Customer Area.

We are looking forward to show you the new forum by next week.

ZEISS Metrology Community team
Hello, community,
The new forum is available for beta testing.
As described you need the ZEISS ID for the login.

You can reach the new forum under the following link
ZEISS Metrology Community
On the start page you will also find the link.

In the new forum we have posted most of the last active posts,
You can also find some older posts in the archive.

So you can continue your current discussion directly in the new forum
or start new discussions.

The old, inactive posts will be transferred one by one to the archive of the new forum
Have fun in the new forum.

Well I have a Zeiss Id for this forum which doesn't ask for an email address, but the new Zeiss forum does ask for an email address to log in, and guess what it doesn't allow me access saying I need a valid email, which I provided when I first signed up? Confused!

Hi,
the Admin again. I know the problem with the naming of the old posts, that's why i copied the original author into the post itself, i hope this workaround helps you in the moment. We will look for a solution when we moved all the other old post in the new Forum as active posts or as archived. I also try to keep the posts from this forum as up-to-date as possible
in the new forum.

In my humble opinion I think you should lock the old forum, not allow new posts. Copying post done here in to the new forum just makes it messy. Zeiss admin is the new author of the post and it's impossible to keep track of what's going on without actually open all threads and read them...

Eric,
you are right and we will certainly do that when the new forum officially goes live.

I place the original author in the new forum at the end of the post, and you will see this without open the singel post, you must only open the new topic.
I know this is a work around for the test period

it's easier for you with color?
