How to Use Textelement?

Hi,

I am looking for a way to add in a Signature Approval line to the Report. It would only be used for 1st Piece Items.
What does the Textelement under Resources do? I have never used it.
2nd, The TEXT Bare on the report header, is there a way to add text or have text entered prior/after run? Or would that require another means after saving the report.

Open the Editer. In the top "BOX" you could add PPAP Approval. Then in the bottom add a Approval Signature _____________

If you hit enter before the Approval, it will drop it down on the report so you have more room to sign. Also whatever you enter into the top area is what will show up on your report

So when I do Resource -> Textelement-> and do all of the changes I want, It does not show on the report. Is there a "switch" I must turn on ? lol

You have to run the report. What you can do is run the program but UN CHECK clear results button and it should show up.

Yup, That is what I do. It just does not show on report.

I have no idea why its not showing up on your reports. I have done it this way numerous times and never had an issue.

Are you using the Custom Report or are you using PiWeb reporting?

If you are using PiWeb this is probably not going to work. Have not dealt with PiWeb much as of late.

I'm still using the Custom Reporting. That is until Zeiss goes to PiWeb 100%.

Ya, I just added a custom to the reporting and the text element works. So now it just shoots out two reports when I need it to.
Hopefully there is a way in piWeb to activate it.

You can stop the PiWeb report by clicking the small monitor Icon as in my screen shot. If you don't want both reports anyway

Hey together,

the Textelement do not work in PiWeb. Therefor you can use the group. Take the elements into a group and in the groupcomment you can write your text. This text will appear on the PiWeb printout.

Why couldn't you just add a space for a signature to the header or footer of your PiWeb report?

Go to your multiple printout tab and make sure "Text Features" is selected.
