[Lo...]
How close is Freeform to Curve? I have had Curve training that didn't include Freeform however Zeiss has now combined Curve and Freeform as a software package? We are getting a CMM and have to buy Curve and FF so we can run existing programs. Sucks because we neither have FF on our offline seat nor have training on how to use it. Is there E-Learning covering FF?
[Ow...]
I've got a nice power point slide that explains the differences between free-form and curve BUT, this forum isn't letting me add a ppt or a pptx powerpoint file, says it's not a supported format? Basically, I don't use it much anymore but, free form is best used with the profile characteristic and somebody may disagree but, If you don't use cad models in your programs, it's pretty much useless but, not completely. Hopefully they change this new forum to accept power points files.
[Me...]
I know it's not the prettiest, but if you change the file extension back to .pptx, it should be a 1 slide show with a text box TESGDhNsd. (You could upload your file under a different extension I mean, lots of pictures/large filesize may not have the same success).TESGDhNsd.txt
[De...]
I know that a curve has more filtering options. With free form surfaces you can't filter and you are stuck in LSQ, unless that has changed in the newest version of calypso. As Owen stated, we use it in profiles more than anything else, especially when the profile encompasses more that one surface, or complex surfaced.
