[Ia...]
At our company, we have several O-Inspect machines and one Metrotom. Our goal is to automate all the programs in order to minimize human error. Regarding the programs on the O-Inspects, there are currently no issues, so we aim to extend automation to the programs that require scans from the CT. To import the scans , .scv file, we use the readCTFile() command; and so far everything works, however, we have not been able to find an effective solution to align the CT scan with the CAD model of the program, so that the program can run autonomously. Does anyone know of an effective way to align the CT model with the CAD model, through a PCM command?
[Ch...]
I would recommend just aligning both before importing. If you are referring to 'best fit-ing an .stl mesh on the CAD - I think thats another topic, which I dont think Calypso can currently do.
[Ia...]
The key point is that this is not a single scan, but rather about 64 scans of the same part, repeated approximately every two days. Until now, the management of programs involving the importation of scans has been handled solely by me and my colleagues, as we are the only ones with the credentials to access the programs. It is evident that this is a time-consuming task, a resource that is not always readily available. However, the goal is to automate this process so that operators can manage it instead of programmers. Operators do not have the credentials to access the Calypso programs; their task is to place the parts on the O-Inspect and press the start button through the autorun interface.
