Calypso v2022 will not save CAD model as a Step file.

We are licensed for step files, in and out.

Every time I save the model as a step file, dialog boxes appear to be making a file, but no file is created.

I can save as SAB, SAT, STL and VRML without problems.

These step files acting like step children: You're not my daddy. I don't have to do what you want. 😂

Are you importing the model as a .stp? I've had issues in the past if I didn't change the file extension from .step to .stp

Calypso defaults to stp, and I have change the suffix from step to stp before without problems.

I used the same file on Calypso v2017 and it saves a stp file no problem.

I have had this issue too. I ended up using a different Calypso revision to get my model to save. I think a patch update borked this, because it use to work in 2022 just fine.

I'm guessing the same thing about a patch/update.

This worked fine until the last patch/update.

Check the dropdown when saving, is there a Sat 19 option? This is older ACIS kernel and should work with older Calypso versions.

This is so helpful to know for anybody who might find this thread from google someday.  It's obvious after being told to look for it, but if you don't think to look you wouldn't even realize it's an option to save in an older version.
