[Lu...]
Hello, Does anyone have a work instruction on how to create an automatic calibration program? Sorry, I am pretty new to Calypso. We have some probes that are labeled RDS CAA. When I qualify these probes, I click the Qualify Stylus button and then take a single hit on the qualification sphere. Then, Calypso automatically calibrates 16 angles. Is there any easy way to reproduce this automatically? Let's say I have a rack filled with 6 different probes. I want all 6 to run at nighttime. Thanks!
[De...]
Good afternoon, Luke. What you are looking for is found under the "Resources" ribbon. Resources > Utilities > Probing System Qualifications. When running, be sure to specify what characteristics to run. If you have probes assigned to qualifications in your characteristics tab that aren't actively loaded, Calypso will stop and wait for you to manually insert said probe, thus stalling the program all night. For further record keeping, and documentation you can play around with the "Multiple Report" options as well and export to an Excell workbook to reference past calibration numbers and trends. I am currently using the 2019 suite of Calypso, but I would assume the function is located in the same directory. Edited December 19, 2024

[Lu...]
I am creating an automatic program per that work instruction. Does anyone know the difference between Qualify passive and Geometry requalification? I'm not sure which to use
[Cl...]
Geometry Re-qualification is simply 6 points (XXT). No bending parameters (Qualify passive, scanning) are calculated. We do Qualify passive once a month and Geometry Re-qualification weekly. Edited December 27, 2024
[Cl...]
To add to this. If you use very long styli, I recommend to use Qualify passive. You might want to look into Gage Qualification as well, unless you are aware of it already.
[To...]
Please sign in to view this quote. I believe the Geo-Requal utilizes the existing bending parameters from the previous Passive Qual. Just re-read your post and realized I mis-read it. [Lu...]
Thank you. We were successful in following Ünal Kırat's work instruction. We created a program for our Duramax. Now we want to make one for our articulating head Accura. We have certain probes labeled "RDS CAA version." When we calibrate these probes, we click Qualify Stylus. Then, we are prompted to take a single hit on the sphere. Following, the machine automatically calibrates 16 angles and averages the result. Is there any way to automate this?
