Hey everyone!

We are looking for a lead CMM programmer to join the team and lead the QC department.  Ideal candidate will need to have experience using freeform and curve.  Experience in the aerospace industry is a huge plus.  We are open to providing relocation assistance on a case by case basis.  Hours vary but we typically either work 47 hour weeks (6-4) or 60 hour weeks (6-6:30).  If you are interested please email me at Zach@metatechinc.com

Duties & Responsibilities

• Act as the lead CMM Programmer for a department with 2 machines (Calypso and Duramax). Supervise and mentor a junior level CMM Programmer/operator.
• Performs dimensional inspection on in-process or finished flight items using CMM (Zeiss) utilizing Calypso programming.
• Ensure that all CMM Programs adhere to customer requirements
• Optimize CMM programs for production jobs to ensure time savings.
• Work with broader QC department to generate inspection plans for upcoming jobs
• Interpret CMM results and explain to machinists why/how their part is out of tolerance.
• Fill out dimension logs with inspection results. When needed, initiate reject tags, discrepancy reports, and inspection reports in accordance with Company procedures.
• Availability to work overtime as needed to meet production schedule.
• Effectively communicate with management and shop personnel to keep the production flowing, identify issues and resolve bottlenecks. Support continuous improvement efforts of the company.

Qualifications

• ADVANCED Calypso Programming Experience (including freeform and curve)
• ADVANCED GD&T Knowledge
• Experience inspecting tight tolerance aerospace parts
• Minimum 5 years of programming experience
