[Sh...]
Does anyone know if it is possible to do name for output for Excel files? Is it also possible to have it formatted as a .csv as well?
[Ky...]
Hello Shawn, Unfortunately the way the Excel output works, it doesn't allow for arbitrary naming or location saving. It will will always be in the default saving location for results with the name of the program and the incremental part number as the name itself. You can hypothetically use some PCM or batch files that run after the file is made to edit it, but its not exactly trivial, looking for those files if there is more than 1 excel file in there.... The only way to get any data as CSV is going to be through PiWeb (See this knowledge base article for more explanation: https://portal.zeiss.com/knowledge-base?id=444544), but honestly I find it more work than its worth usually because most systems that you would use CSV file for (usually for importing data) can handle the tab delimited format that the table files are in as well, and that's just much easier to deal with. [To...]
ReportINI.xlsInTech_2022_ExcelReport (.xlsx output).xls I have modified the excel report template so that it takes the excel report that Calypso generates in the default location that is determined by path that is input in the Environment settings and copies it to another folder with the desired naming nomenclature. Our naming nomenclature includes the date, CMM machine number, part number, revision, job number, and operation number. Also, in the macro, the new excel file is saved with a .xlsx extension which saves considerable hard drive space verses the excel file with the .xls extension. After the copy and renaming of the excel file, the original file is deleted. I have edited the Data Sort Macro file for compiling the excel reports to accept the .xlsx or the .xls extensions on the excel file. I have attached all of the mentioned excel files so that you can review and if you choose to do so, edit them meet your specific naming requirements. Hope this helps.
