[Jo...]
Hi everyone, My company would like us to start using PMI with Calypso. I received my first PMI model using an ASIC format to start some programming/testing, but when I imported the file I did not have a PMI tab to work from. Does the use of PMI need to be enabled or is this an additional license for calypso? I had an understanding that the PMI was free and included but I could be mistaken. I am using Calypso 2021 right now on our CMMS but have access to 2024 (offline). To add, our PMI file was generated using NX. Does anyone know if the file needs to be exported in a certain format or a certain way through the CAD software? Thanks in advance.
[An...]
You will need the CAD converter, which is another purchase option from Zeiss. For PMI, the CAD model must be saved in “step AP242” format in Calypso.
[Jo...]
Hi Andreas, Thanks for the reply! I was able to get another user to add the model for me. So at this point, I can get the PMI tab into a measurement plan, but I cannot extract any features/characteristics within the PMI tab. I selected the dimensions I wanted to test. Then I selected "create measurement plan" and attempted to create features and characteristics from the selected PMI, but there was no luck after that. No Features or Characteristics are built. See attached for reference.
