New contura 9/12/8

Hello,

Our company is building a new factory and bought a new Contura 9/12/8 device here. However, there are problems with the room where the cmm device will be placed.

Unfortunately, there are steel bars on the ceiling and they shorten the space.
As you can see in the picture, we have to place the device on the left side of the room.
The distance between the 2 steel bars here is 124 cm, the x movement of our device is 90 cm.
When we place the device here, they ask if we can use it comfortably within 124 cm,

Can anyone who uses the new generation 9/12/8 Contura tell me what the size is here?

According to this size, I need to check if it will fit within 124 cm.

I would say - since B17 is only 1027 and you have 1240, then you have clearence about 213mm totally. Your questioned dimension is not problem.

Width B17 is not working area - probe can not get to edges, rather about 100mm on each side can not be obtained ( perhaps more )
I think you can fit it there if you do it right - perhaps 100mm mismatch is ok.

Have you considered lights? Won't be in a way?

Martin,

X movement 900, ( 1240 - 900 = 340 ) I have a gap of 340 mm from the center of the upper head.

I am trying to evaluate the risk of touching the steel bars when the device reaches the -x and +x extremes.

You are right, we will make arrangements in the lamps according to where the device is placed.

I have a CAD model of the Contura 9/12/8 available. If you need any dimensions, let me know.

The width you marked with a "?" is 150 mm at the top.

May I get a copy of the model? I was given a 9/18/8 model, I use the model in SolidWorks when I plan programming, fixtures, probe rack usage and design.
