Is it possible to measure both the profile and the distance simultaneously from the same feature?

From what I’ve learned, in CAD > Create Features, you can generate lines, and by accessing Features > 3D Curves, you can measure the profile dimension. (I'm still learning this area of Calypso.)

My drawing requires both a profile dimension of 0.005 and a distance measurement from the same plane to another plane of 4.435.

Is there a way to obtain both dimensions in a single scan?

Thank you,

If those two surfaces are wide enough to measure them both as planes you can evaluate the planes for profile and then do a cartesian distance between them.

As Clarke stated - if they are big enough to measure that as planes, then you don't need curves. Just measure planes and use them in surface profile. No need for curves and freeform.

On the other hand - if you measured that part as curves, then you can recall measured points into plane feature ( depending on what curve's path ) - you can recall all points from curve or just selection ( specific points, range, selection )
For more info please read manual for curves.

This question honestly sounds like a misunderstanding of Calypso vs other software....You can scan both features then report both Profile and Distance... just create 2 characteristics and fill them both out.

OR, do the Profile and change it's mode to "Bilateral - 2 Results" which will effectively give you one version of distance too since you get +/- results, not an absolute one.
