VAST XTR GOLD automatic plate change with the ZCR plate?

We are purchasing a new Contura CMM with the VAST XTR GOLD sensor.

I am looking for clarification on utilizing the ZCR (rotatable) adapter plate. I have come across some text that indicates there are two lock/unlock buttons on the adapter plate. The screenshot below is from the Calypso online help manual.

I am hoping someone can provide a more detailed explanation as to when we will need to physically press these lock/unlock buttons. Is it just during manual insertion or removal of a ZCR adapter plate, or will we need to press the unlock buttons even during an 'automatic' stylus system change. I can't find much on the forums or in the Zeiss help pages that shed light on the ZCR plate lock/unlock buttons.

Here is pdf - starting from 5-22 there is talk about that

The buttons are needed only when you're manually inserting/removing XTR adapter plate from XTR probehead. No need to press anything when inserting into ZCR pocket. Note: you can only use ZCR pockets with Vast XTR. You can use regular VAST adapter plates, but they still need to be inserted into ZCR pockets on the rack (you have to switch the setting on the ZCR pocket when inserting XTR adapter plate or VAST adapter plate.)

We are planning on using the MSR2.0 sensor rack with ZCR pockets.

Thank you. We are planning on using a combination of VAST plates and XTR plates in ZCR pockets.
