[Se...]
Hello ZEISS Support Team and Community, I’m encountering an issue with the Python environment in ZEISS INSPECT 2025, where the absence of the TCL folder prevents the use of TK (tkinter) for GUI development. Issue Details: Version: ZEISS INSPECT 2025 Error: When running a simple tkinter script (tk.Tk()), the following error occurs: Temporary Workaround: I’ve developed a .bat script that uses a compressed TCL folder (extracted from ZEISS INSPECT 2023) and automatically installs it to C:\Program Files\Zeiss\INSPECT\2025\python. This resolves the issue temporarily, but it’s not an ideal long-term solution. Could the ZEISS team kindly confirm if this will be fixed in a future update or suggest how to use tkinter in new versions? Thank you. [Ma...]
Hi Please sign in to view this username. , Could you please provide your script for testing? I just checked the "Hello World" from tkinter — Python interface to Tcl/Tk — Python 3.13.2 documentation, which worked in ZEISS INSPECT 2025 without any problems or workarounds: Best regards, Matthias

[Se...]
Hello Matthias, I’ve recorded a video showing my current situation and uploaded it to a cloud link: https://cloud.ratc.com.tw/index.php/s/h7AonKsXoCMuIy4 I suspect it might be an issue with the installation file on my end. The EXE version of our installation file is 2025.1.0.1985. I’ll try updating to the latest 2025 version and test it. Thanks again. [Ma...]
Hello Sean, I just tried exactly the same script as you have shown in the video (but with a development version of ZEISS INSPECT 2025) - it worked for me. It seems this is indeed related to the version you have been using. Best regards, Matthias
[Se...]
Hello Matthias, Thank you for your reply. While I’m not entirely sure why the 2025.1.0.1985 installation file had that issue at the time, I’ve downloaded and installed the latest version, and tkinter is working fine now. Thank you so much for your help.
