[Cl...]
My part. Imagine a wine glass. The stem is Datum -C-. the inside of the glass is square and has a surface profile callout back to -C- (profile .003 U .000 C). Does this mean that the inside of the glass can only grow up to .006 per side?

[Cl...]
Ok, based on your attachment it looks like I'm correct. The inside of the glass can grow by .003 per side.
[Ri...]
You have an unequal with 0.003 on the inside and 0 on the outside. You cannot have any material on the outside of the nominal Profile, and you can only have 0.003 worth of material inside of the nominal Profile. [Cl...]
OK. So, its opposite of what I stated. It can't get larger inside the glass?
[Ma...]
As i see it your tolerance is going inside material - so hole will be bigger or outside diameter smaller.
[Ja...]
The zero after the U symbol indicates the amount of tolerance in plus material direction. You can allow for more wine but not less.
