Using Calypso with MODUS

Hello,

I have several Renishaw Equators running MODUS out on the floor and a Duramax running Calypso in our lab. I have in the past used Renishaw to generate my .CAL files after I programmed them but would like to create my own .CAL files using Calypso. Question is, Is that possible without running Calypso parallel to MODUS on my Equators? Will Calypso create a .CAL file that I can then use in MODUS? I understand that my measurement order and probe parameters need to be exactly the same, but what else?

I know that you can use Calypso on, or at least with, data from an Equator given certain conditions. It has been some time since the process has been described to me (this started a couple years ago), but at least certain versions of Calypso can make the .Cal file. Here is a document that goes over at least the general outline of the process, but it might be a good idea to reach out to your aftermarket sales representative or Zeiss sales team member for a more detailed discussion:
