[Br...]
Does anyone happen to know how I would go about getting the XYZ value of a single point in machine coordinates, rather than the base alignment coordinates? I want to use a probe to take a point on the top of the part, and then use those values to send the ViScan optical system to that location. Currently it takes forever to use the Viscan to "find" the part and get it centered where I want it. Being able to send it directly to a point so everything is already in focus would be very helpful! Anyone have any idea how I would do this?
[An...]
One option that doesn't require PCM: Drop in a new alignment Set alignment to (CMM System) instead of (Base Alignment) Set point feature to use that alignment Hope that works for you! No experience with ViScan or how it navigates, so not much help there!
