[Ke...]
Ok users.... I'm currently on Calypso 2021 (7.2). I usually stay at least one version behind to let allow time for the bugs to get worked out of the latest & greatest releases. I'm probably going to bump up to 2023 (7.6) BUT ...is there anything in 2024 (2.8) that would convince me to play with the same version as "the cool kids"? ...alternatively, are there any current bugs that still need to be worked out that I should know about? Thanks in advance for your input!
[ja...]
i think you meant (7.8) for the 2024 version? the alignment window is a little different & arguably a little more intuitive if you use start alignments. the Excel export can be set to automatically output the table file, so just the characteristics of interest for a set of parts is easier to analyze (if you don't already have a scripted solution for that). it can compare the results of requalifying a stylus to previous qualifications, which can be helpful. the best upgrade is probably the shift to 64-bit architecture, but that's mostly a perfomance thing than anything else. [Ca...]
There's a video that shows all the new functions in CALYPSO 2024 that you can watch and skip through to see if there's anything that may be of interest to you in addition to what Jack mentioned above: ZEISS Portal If you would prefer to read instead of watch the video, the new functions are also mentioned in the release information, which can be downloaded from the Download Center in the ZEISS portal.
