What are some reasons for this error?

Micura Calypso v2017 6.4.16

I'm guessing air might be one, but in the Status Window I do not see anything about "Drives Off".

I am seeing this quite often, especially after a calibration (no disrespect meant).

One other thing I have noticed on the same CMM, is the control box locks very quickly. You can hardly get time between moving the CMM manually and creating a feature and its locked again.

I have seen on my contura and spectrum. It can be just a bit of dust or something on the bearing surfaces, or you could be having a drive going out.

any fix for this?  Having the same issue. CMM has air and everything is clean. Drivers not going on. it shut off mid Run and went on to home. now it does not want to turn on.

Our Contura's are always supposed to be at 5.0 bars of air pressure. I would confirm that your air pressure settings on the CMM are correct, and then try to turn the drives back on via the Controller.

Long story short, I'm thinking the air pressure might be out of the allowed range. This will cause the drives to pop on and then immediately off when pressing the button on the controller.
