[Ri...]
Is there a master log file that contains all the "Status Windows" events? I want to start charting incidents on CMM's by date and time.

[To...]
The data is stored under sm_events.dat in Calypso X.X folder. You can output the data to a text file. You can also increase the number of lines shown, up to 10,000, so you won't have to upload the data so often.

[Jo...]
Zeiss also sells a software product called “cmm observer” that does this. It has a 90 day free trial.

[Jo...]
To be honest my biggest complaint with CMMObserver is that I would have and could have got it as part of our original purchase and forgot about it, but nobody told us it existed! So now it had to be a "Separate purchase" and go through all the annoyance that can come with getting budget for that. It does really feel like the thing that "should be included"
[Dr...]
Is there a reason the ZEISS Maintenance Wizard (good ol' Wartungsassistent) wouldn't work for this application? I have it installed on our more collision-prone CMM and check it about once a week or while troubleshooting. If your goal is to get a sense of collision frequency/severity a glance, it does that well. Echoing Charles' question, it shows a record going back as far as you've had the machine, even before the Maintenance Wizard was installed. And though it misses a lot of CMMobserver's functionality, it is free. Refer to this thread:
