[Da...]
Hi all, I have a two changing racks the top and the bottom and I had to install all the styluses again etc. How can I change the distance so the head column will not crash in the stylus on the picture ?? I have changed before and after approach distances, but this only applies when the stylus is inside the head so what is happening when the head leaves a stylus in the bottom left pocket after that it will go straight away to right position to pick another one and smash that stylus. I do not know where are the global setting so the empty column will not go to the left and to the right that close to the rack.

[Ch...]
I tend to move those to the lower or bottom racks if possible to avoid this situation.

[Ke...]
Additionally, you can set the Top Value to 9999 to force the CMM to go to the maximum Z height without endlimiting itself, I find this to be very useful for avoiding obstacles in the volume, be they probes, parts, fixtures, etc. Generally speaking, I set this for every pocket on every machine, as the added safety is worth the slight time loss typically.
