[Ja...] Posted yesterday at 12:38 PM Share Posted yesterday at 12:38 PM Hi all I have been asked to setup certain programs to be able to be ran on night shift by operators who have no experience on the Zeiss CMM. How do I lockdown the menus/programs to make them so they are 'set and go'. At the minute I have the 3D model open, and list of features and characteristics on the side, which can be easily 'clicked' into. Also, it only takes a click on the model, and it extracts a feature which the CMM will try and measure. Literally want it to be 'idiot' proof so to speak - run a proven program and that's it. Thank you Jack
[Cl...] Posted yesterday at 01:01 PM Share Posted yesterday at 01:01 PM Place the programs in autorun. with the permissions set for the operator just run the program.

Autorun is your friend here but I am more alarmed that your company is risking tens of thousands of dollars in CMM damage with wholly untrained operators. I do not like Autorun (but it definitely has it's purpose) because I want everyone to be able to see what's happening behind the scenes. At my last job, I set the permissions for each shift so they could see all the features and characteristics etc, but had no permissions to save anything if they did happen to change something.
[Ja...] Posted yesterday at 04:29 PM Author Share Posted yesterday at 04:29 PM Thanks Guys, sorry to clarify I mean obviously they will be trained in CMM operation; just not software side of things. I don't want people to be able to 'accidentally' change anything. Is autorun easy to setup?
