Geometry best fit alignment question

I have a supplier that is using a geometry best fit alignment incorporating datums A,B,and C. They are calling most of the GDT to that alignment. There is no datum shift allowed on this part, and my question is as follows, Does this method allow for datum drift by nature of it best fitting? I want to have info in hand before I talk to the supplier as to if this is ok.

The Geometry Best-Fit alignment is to be used only where no Datum's are involved in the evaluation. As explained to me by Zeiss applications.
