I'm looking for suggestions on how i can rev control programs after changes.     I'm also looking to see how i can lock programs out so only one person can have access to them for editing and so on.

Some people are using saving into new folders, or you can use revision system withing Calypso - it's like GIT - you have one program, where you are asked which revision you want to open.

I recall using Zeiss's software a while back they called it MCC or Master Control Center. Not Master Chief Collection 😉

it was a bit clunky, but it got the job done.

At my new company, we now just have the rev # saved in the program name. This leaves the programmer to properly archive and implement new revisions.

I name programs like this:

Part Number_Rev letter_Operation_Sensor_Date (We have a multi sensor system)

12345678-9_A_Op10_RDS_06-01-2025

The date as a suffix is my program rev control.

When a part is edited, it is renamed:

12345678-9_A_Op10_RDS_06-01-2025-History_06.06.2025_RS (Add the word History, the date in decimal format and initials).

New program becomes:

12345678-9_A_Op10_RDS_06-06-2025

The program marked History goes into a #History folder.

No program named History is allowed to be used.

Project name - Part name - Part number - Drawing version. This is how we save programs where I work.

As for control, you can use Auto run or just create operators in Calypso and give them the desired rights.
