[Jo...]
Has anyone ever had the adapter portion of their RDS system be an issue? Like it was swapped out and everything was ok? In regards to intermittent and irregular or stuttered indexing. More likely the RDS? The adapter has quite a few flesh wounds. ⚔️ Thanks.
[Cl...] Posted yesterday at 11:04 AM Share Posted yesterday at 11:04 AM How old is yours? How many collisions has it endured? What You describe could possibly be a stripped aluminum gear, or a bad bladder.

[Cl...]
I thought all XXT's did. The gear that rotates the XXT is aluminum and strips out rather easily. Edited 21 hours ago
[To...]
Please sign in to view this quote. You may be right about that. I believe the first version of RDS did use an air bladder but now I'm not sure the purpose of the air bladder. My assumption was it used the bladder to push the RDS adapter plate away and rotate the RDS. The speed knob would not control the speed of the index. Once it started, it was going full blast until it got to the desired position. You were also able to rotate the A and B a full 180° in either direction. The current versions, are motorized and controllable with the speed knob and the B can only rotate approximately ±165°. I am questioning my understanding of how both systems work now. lol Edited 20 hours ago
