Your Opinion Matters: Submit and Vote on ZEISS PiWeb Element Template Ideas!

Dear PiWeb Community,

We’re excited to announce a new initiative designed to enhance your PiWeb experience and streamline your reporting workflows!

Our team is creating a repository of preconfigured element templates in PiWeb Designer, which will be available to all our customers for use. These element templates are customized elements (or grouped elements) found in the Toolbox section of Designer. They can be quickly added to your report pages and are compatible across the PiWeb product family (PiWeb Essentials, Enterprise, Reporting Plus).

These templates are designed to save you time, improve efficiency, and provide a foundation for creating impactful reports.

To make this repository as valuable and versatile as possible, we want your input! 

We invite you to share your ideas for element templates that you believe would be useful to the PiWeb community. We will select the top 10 ideas to include in the initial release of the repository!

How to Submit Your Ideas

To ensure your suggestions align with our goals, we ask that they meet the following criteria:

• Category: The template should fall under one of the pre-defined categories below.
  • Information, data, and/or charts for characteristics or measurements
  • Statistics
  • CAD and Image visualization
  • Status
  • Tables 
  • Headers
  • KPI’s
• Generic Use: The template should be general enough to apply to a wide range of users.

Visual Example: If possible, include an image or sketch of what you have in mind to help us understand your idea.

How to Vote

We encourage you to participate by voting for your favorite ideas! Here’s how you can cast your vote:

• Use the reaction functions (e.g. Like, Awesome, Thank You) to express your support for an idea.
• Each reaction counts as one vote. The total votes for an idea will be the combined total of all reactions it receives.
• Don’t forget to explore all the ideas by browsing through every page of this post to ensure you don’t miss any great suggestions!
• Your votes will help us identify the most valuable ideas to include in the initial release of the template repository.

Timeline

We’ll monitor this post for the next two months (closing at the end of July) to collect ideas. Afterward, we’ll review the submissions, develop selected templates, and announce their availability during an upcoming PiWeb User Group Session.

By sharing your ideas, you’ll help us create a resource that supports the entire PiWeb community.
