Multi Part scanning question

Hello!

I have a question regarding  ZQS: INSPECT 2023/2025 using the ATOS 5. Still learning as much as possible as I'm still relatively new to the Zeiss Quality Suite

I want to convert a program into a multi-part program for efficiency. Here is my process so far.

  1. Scan one part (First part)
  2. Create inspection program
  3. Perform Multi-part scan with machined parts based of 'First Part'
  4.  NEED each mesh to undergo it's own inspection
  5.  NEED each inspection to have it's own details.csv

My current work around is to export each multi-part mesh and re-import as a new stage, then navigate through each stage to get the details.csv's that i need. is there a more efficient way to perform this task or will i have to continue to use my workaround?

Hi,

this is a hard question for the Forum. I would recommend to ask your local ZEISS partner.

But in short: The following workflow is recommended: if you have your template for the inspection of one part you can import the multipart measurement project, you don't have to export your mesh. During the import  you can make the decision which part of the multipart measurement project shall be imported.

For the evaluation of a Trend project you could import all parts from the multipart measurement project at once as 'Stages' into the evaluation template. But usually the reporting for a Trend project is quite different to the reporting for a single project. Therefore I recommend the first way.

Thank you so much, this should help a ton. I'll get in touch with our ZEISS partner as well and see if there is anything else we could improve on.

Kind Regards,
