Exporting raw surface measurements

I've found that I can export raw datum measurements, however the surface of interest always has to be exported to an alignment.  Is it possible to get the surface measurement exported just in raw machine coordinates?

You many be able to bring in a secondary alignment and set it to the CMM coordinate system, set the surface to the alignment, and export the points. However, I have not tried this before so I cannot say if this will work as intended.
