RDS CCAA Qualifications, not enough random Sigma values?

This may all be in my head, but after looking at numbers for a few decades, somethings tend to stand out as possibly unusual.

I had the dreaded 1215 SDO error where the MasterProbe would not accept a sigma that was well within tolerance set.

I performed the task from the portal on resetting the MasterProbe, all went well and now I can qualify the MasterProbe.

Now I am qualifying all my RDS probes, most are CAA and a few are Lists.

What I really noticed is, it seems there are too many styli with a Sigma of .00001 (Inch) and not enough random values?

Richard - If you change your units to mm or number of decimal places out you may be able to determine if there's some random values or if they really are all showing the same even when it's not rounding?

Yes, I did that, after 6 places its more random. But, I always use 5 places.

Those are the instructions I used when the 1215 SDO error came up.

If it's random with 6 places, you know that the values are changing, just rounding back to the same .00001 sigma. You can leave it at 5 decimal places, but just as a test seeing the sixth gives you more information when investigating.

Seeing .00001" sigma values on CAA stylus system seems suspicious to me.

I was told all sigma values are in mm, regardless of system units setting.

Pretty sure it depends on the program you have open, when I open a program that's set to standard, it shows the probes sigma values in standard, but my calibration program is set to metric so when i check the results after calibrating I see the results in metric. (which has caused quite a bit of confusion multiple times lol)

Are you checking in the "stylus system management" tab? Or a different location?
