[Za...]
I purchased an O-Inspect 322 a little while ago and have seen a ramp in usage for the equipment. I am struggling with creating an inspection plan to measure parts only optically and basically in 2D. What I want to do is basically probe two edges of a part to make the planar rotation constraint and the X, Y origin--and then to have the measurement plan run at the same zoom level that I used to probe those edges. When I try to make a Z-plane with a theoretical feature at any z-value, it will send the head to the max/min limit regardless of the value. I just basically want to do 2D inspection but can't seem to figure out how to keep the Z constrained where I want it to be. I cannot probe the surface of the part itself, since the appearance of it will apply a weird plane and align the CAD model incorrectly.
