[No...]
How would I implement the true position of two coaxial cylinders specified with CZ (common zone)? I see no option for that in the new GD&T engine. ISO 1101. I also need a common datum, so I can't (mis-)use the classic bore battern. Edited July

[No...]
I thought of this as well, but does it really reflect the intention of the ISO standard? Maybe I got it wrong, but my idea of it was that CZ puts one tolerance zone around both cylinder axes. What if they are parallel, but offset to each other? A single cylinder calculated from all points would have a tilted axis. I'm not sure if the results would be the same. Update: I did a quick test in Planner, using a single cylinder with recalled points as well as a stepped cylinder. Result: stepped cylinder can not be used, as it doesn't even appear in the list of features. A single cylinder with recalled points gives a different result. But I found the correct solution by accident: As soon as there's more than one position chracteristic in the program, the dialog of the new GD&T position shows an additional tab where you can define which position characteristics to combine.
