@Zeiss Moderators: Move PCM, Curve/Freeform, AutoRun, and CMM/VMM back into General category

Can we please move all Calypso forums(PCM, Curve/FreeForm, Autorun, and CMM/VMM) back into the General category?  The intent of splitting them up is understandable, but the reality is that you just created a hospice where good questions go to die.  

There's not enough traffic to justify having separate categories for those items.  They stay out of sight and out of mind.  

Yeah, people could just take the extra steps, extra clicks, and extra time to browse the other categories; But that's not human nature.  We want easy, quick, one location, and fewer clicks.  I'm pretty sure Confucius said, "Virtue is found in simplicity and ease; a website that demands excessive effort from its users has lost its way."

I have no problems with current situation - i see bold font - i'm looking into it 🙂 I am looking into gear section too even i don't have that option - just to inform and educate myself.

At least i know what type of a question it can be 🙂

Agreed Chad. There aren't enough posts to justify sub-categories for Calypso. My bookmark is for the General and I'm sure others are the same. I have to be pretty bored to go to the other sub forums.

Judging by the current situation, we wouldn't need any categories at all. Some users seem to be unable to distinguish even between Calypso and Zeiss Inspect. They post everything to the topmost General section and often even forget to mention which software they're talking about, so taht it's up to the reader to extract that info from the context.

So my opinion is, let's stay with the categories to maintain at least a little bit of order. 🧐
