ZEISS crash in silhoutte & fitting circle commands

Hello all,

I can extract the contour using the silhoutte method in ZEISS Inpect 2025 software without any issues. Then,  fitting a circle with default parameters also works fine.

However, when I try to use project onto setting in the fitting circle window with the selecting silhoutte  as reference for fitting, I get crash error.

I had not encountered this error in previous versions. I was able to avoid the crash in my workflow by creating a separate section which references silhoutte created.

I would appreciate if you could provide some insights into the cause of this issue.

Hi,

Is this a general problem? At least could no treproduce it on ZEISS INSPECT 2025 Service Pack 2 in a sample project.
If it is not, the particular project should be analyzed (can be shared, if possible, to support)

Would be interesting to understand the requirement. All the silhouette poins are already in plane, projecting the fitting circle on the section plane should have no effect.

I'm attaching the ZEISS log file generated after crash. If it does not clarify the issue, I can share the project file with you privately.

Since we already have an NDA agreement in place, this should not be a problem.
