[Lu...] Posted yesterday at 08:49 AM Share Posted yesterday at 08:49 AM (edited) Hello guys, I have a question about the GD&T filter, especially when applied to surface profile tolerances. The techguide states that the GD&T filters can be applied to planes, cylinders and cones for surface profiles, but not for patch compound. Unfortunately, I have been unsuccessfully trying to call up the GD&T filters for some time now. In every surface profile check, the filter options are always disabled. I tried different things: surface profile with and without datum systems surface profile on a single cad patch or multiple cad patches surface profile on planes, cones, cylinders or freeform surfaces None of this allows me to open the GD&T filter. What am I doing wrong here? Best regards Lukas Edit: I'm using version 2025.3.1.6 Edited yesterday at 08:52 AM
[Mi...] Posted yesterday at 10:34 AM Share Posted yesterday at 10:34 AM (edited) The information in the Tech Guide is still correct, i.e. it is possible to use a filter for a surface profile on a plane, cylinder or cone. To be sure I also checked that this still works in SW2025 as expected. In your screenshot you are not using a plane, cylinder or cone for the surface profile, but you said you tried those as well. Maybe there is a misunderstanding here. Please contact the software support if this continues to be an issue for you. Edited 23 hours ago
[Lu...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Hello Michael, Thank you for your quick reply. I have indeed found my error. When I check the surface profile via the I-Inspect menu (e.g on a cone), no cone is created as a nominal element, but a surface element. The filter does not work there. However, if I create a "real" cone it works. Thank you!
