[Be...]
I attempted to search for what I was looking for without much success. And I'm totally new with the Zeiss CMM. I have two measurement plans that we currently run regularly. One of them retains data that I can access through PiWeb for weeks while the other only allows access for the current week and the previous. How do I access the older data and how is the data retention configured for the measurement plans?
[An...]
Did you look at the measurement selection option? If you hit F6 or go to Navigation you can access the data selection and hopefully you can see the rest of your previous runs.
[Be...]
I don't have PiWeb monitor on my Zeiss computer. We are currently running the 2017 version and are looking to update to the latest in the very near future. What I have is called Calypso Monitor or the other app is PiWeb reporting plus or something along those lines. The Monitor app appears to only show the last run and the PiWeb reporting plus doesn't have a navigation screen or respond to an F6 command. It only allows me to look at the last 1000 measurements and I can't change that. Also, our .dfm file for the measurement plan that I am looking at is 399kb and does not seem to grow as we run which seems really strange. I hope we are not truncating the data. I have a customer looking for past product results.
[An...]
Older versions of PiWeb use the DFM file format type and that did have a hard limit on file size. And I believe it just overwrote the previous files because of it. Newer versionf of CALYPSO/PiWeb use a DFS file type instead which does not have a file size restriction but you are still limited to 1000 runs using PiWeb plus. As I DM responded you back, I believe there might be a chance to access the extra data if you have enterprise, but unfortunately this has not been tested before. And unfortunately I do not have a DFS file of that size to test. And if you are still using the DFM file type, that unfortunately will unlikely have the extra data you are looking for past the 1000 runs either. You can use the PiWeb reporting plus app on your computer to access your PiWeb data, no need for monitor specifically. Once you select the database and a template to open it with in PiWeb plus, you should be able to hit f6 or go to navigate and see that selection i screenshotted earlier. When you open a PiWeb template and view a report, that is technically PiWeb Monitor you are using. There you should be able to use direct selection or play with the filters to hopefully see past just 1-2 weeks worth of data. Unless you run so many parts in a week you literally overwrite that 1000 run cap each week is the only other potential cause of why you can't go past a week. [DW...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Please sign in to view this username. You are overwriting the data with each measurement. Go to the Resources drop down in Calypso, and towards the bottom you will see "Results to file.." Click on that. A new menu will pop up, and where it says "Save Measurement Points" or something like that, you will see a number to the right. My guess is that number is set to a number less than 100. Change it to 9999.
