[ca...]
Hello everyone, Is there a way to access or view the pixel-to-mm ratio for the ATOS system and the specific measurement volume already calibrated? I need to get the dimensions of specific features in ATOS images. However, I don't want to use projection and anything related with 3D data. Thanks, Canset
[Ja...]
Unfortunately this type of application wont work out in the direction you are thinking ..whilst you can calculate the size of pixel from amount on the chip vs meas volume at the centre of the measurement volume ( this is what would be stated in a tech manual) what you dont know is the relative distance to the object . If the feature has contrast boundaries ( white to black) you could attempt to create a curve from this contrast. I would imagine the application you have is rather complex and beyond normal atos applications and id suggest reviewing alternatives...if it can be de contextualised then maybe could get some ideas on the forum
[ca...]
Hello James, I'm fully aware of the constraints of the method. Since this wont be the only method I'll be using, I want to ask where I can find an approximate value. As far as I know, the measuring distance value of the object can be accessed via script commands. Can you explain what you mean by relative distance? Where can I find more information about the subject (amount on the chip vs meas volume at the centre of the measurement volume )? Many thanks, Canset
