[Ma...]
Hi Are there any suggestions how to evaluate contacting features in Zeiss Inspect 3D 2025 according ISO 5459 (e.g. Rule 5 and Annex Example 1) In the attached picture the datum B should not be the axis of the hole, but the contacting line given by B1. Hence the specification of B[CF] in the profile tolerance. I was unable to find any ideas in the help or here in the forum. Thanks for any inputs. [Ma...]
Does B contains only B1 point and is it controling only position in one direction? I would imagine in Calypso to have 2d line or recalled points into fixed cylinder with restrained vectors to comply with ISO 5459.
[Di...]
Hi Martin, maybe Construct Touch cylinder can help you here. As this does what you need. The drawing is also a bit ambiguous here as well. A better approach would be to use it based on the example from ISO 5459:2024 Figure 24. And in the Note 1 for figure 24 you'll find exactly what the software does here for you. So you can simply add the actual axis of the cylinder cylinder as a datum in the Create Datum Dialog after this workflow. Hope this helps.
