CAD Model disappears

All of a sudden, when I open my program, the model is not loaded.  It also happens if I switch to another program and come back to it. Only happens on this program.  The only way to get it back is to go to CAD - View - Redraw CAD model and I'm back to normal.  Any fixes?

Could be this .. in the latest service pack release notes (2025) but a lot of these are same fixes applied to recent release for 2024, what version are you on ?

I had the same problem before; umlauts Ä Ö Ü in the CAD model name were to blame. Renaming the CAD model helped. I'm from Germany and can't say if umlauts exist in English.

I'm running into a similar issue, I think. All of a sudden this morning, one of my programs is won't load the CAD model, only the assorted extracted geometry in the program. What's the best way to add the CAD model back and aligned correctly?

I used to open a blank inspection file, load the cad model, then cad model transform the trihedron to the location and orientation of the base alignment of the original program. Then save the model, and import it in the original program, and everything should line up correctly. Might as well keep a copy of the new model in case the program doesn't load the CAD again.

This happens randomly to me on both of our machines through 2024 and 2025 and I have no idea why.  (It even happened at the Zeiss center when i took my calypso basic class a couple years ago!)  Ill have to hit "redraw cad model" 10 times a day for several days, and then suddenly It works and I don't have to click it for months.

Try pulling it into SolidWorks and resaving as a new model.

I ran into this problem with a few models that I got from an overseas affiliate.

I know it doesn't make any sense, but it always seemed to fix the problem.
